about me

I have been working in the Mountaineering and Outdoor Industry for 26 years ~ working for National Outdoor Centers, Expedition Companies, Government Bodies and Seismic and Oil companies. I now work for myself in addition to working and advising for a number of outstanding companies.

Although I hold the MIC award along with a number of other qualifications in various activities I continually strive to improve my knowledge and develop as a provider.

Over the past years I have worked on many different types of projects. Mountain QC and Seismic Mountaineer on both 2D and 3D seismic projects throughout the Middle East, Technical Advisor to high profile projects, Instructing and guiding both winter and summer mountaineering worldwide, Safety support and advice on Film and TV projects.

.. since everything that was not a necessity was an encumbrance. I had found too, a comradeship inherent in the circumstances, and the belief that tranquility was to be found there.
